Trick or Treat?: A Rundown of Towns Celebrating Halloween

Here's the towns who are postponing Halloween trick or treating and who are making it a go this evening

While many neighborhoods in many municipalities are without power, Halloween and trick or treating is still a go for many towns. Here are the towns celebrating trick or treating this evening: Towamencin Township has postponed its trick or treating to Saturday, Nov. 3 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., due to many residents being without electricity. Lower Salford Township, which encompasses Harleysville, has suggested families postpone trick or treating to Saturday, Nov. 3, if there are hazards in their neighborhoods. "Under normal conditions, the township does not regulate the timing of trick or treat and therefore leaves the decision to the parents of those children taking part in this activity. Vacancies Adding Up at Ralph's Corner

Leasing agent Metro Commercial may break up former Super Fresh site into smaller spaces to attract businesses.

Area residents are anxious to know what, if any, progress is being made in leasing the vacancies at the Ralph’s Corner Shopping Center.  Adjusting to new shopping locales and longer drives to pick up groceries, even for a quick stop to buy a gallon of milk, have worn thin on shoppers. Ralph’s Corner Shopping Center began when Ralph’s Supermarket moved from its old location on Main Street, which is presently occupied by the Main Street Diner. Ralph’s was an independent market with a local, loyal hometown following. The market was bought out by the Clemens Market chain, and later became a Super Fresh. At the present time, the center is anchored by Kohl’s, Ross Dress For Less and CVS. Closures include Super Fresh, Marilou Hallmark Store, and …
