If at First You Don't Succeed: According to a report in the Pottstown Patch, a 22-year-old woman was cited three times in one day after she repeatedly panhandled for cigarettes outside of Redner's. The woman reportedly launched into profanity-laden tirades directed towards the store's manager as well as responding officers. OMG PD: Mrs. 'Grinch' Sentenced to Prison for Menacing on Christmas

This week's stories include a woman who is heading to prison after assaulting her husband for buying lousy Christmas presents, a missing cactus in Whitemarsh, and an assault with a lacrosse stick.

You're a Mean One, Mrs. Grinch: According to a report in the Lansdale Patch, a 51-year-old woman will spend up to 23 months in prison after she menaced her husband with a butcher knife on Christmas. The woman – whom the prosecutor referred to as "the Grinch on steroids" – was reportedly unhappy with the presents her husband had purchased. Montco Drug Traffickers Brought Down by Wiretaps, DA Says

Six people, including four from Montco, were arrested and charged following a target-specific wiretap investigation.

Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Ferman has announced the arrest of six people stemming from a target-specific wiretap investigation titled "Operation Walled In." In total, law enforcement recovered more than 50 pounds of marijuana, $23,248 in cash, four vehicles and two weapons. Charges for the six people range from corrupt organization to drug and weapons charges. Members of the Montgomery County Detectives, the Pennsylvania State Police, and officers from the Upper Dublin, Hatfield, Upper Providence, West Norriton, Upper Merion, Plymouth Township, Norristown and Pottstown Police departments participated in the investigation. Accused Killer Seeks Money from Victim's Estate: According to a report in the Norristown Patch, a man accused of killing his mother, father and brother with a sword in 2011 has filed a request to draw money from the victim's $1 million estate. The accused killer stated in court documents that he needs the money to retain counsel, as well as hire expert forensic psychiatrists to defend against the charges. He was previously given $16,000 in public funds for his defense. What began as a simple video of a few guys in costume dancing to a techno beat has quickly turned into one the internet's latest viral memes. This week alone, tens of thousands of people have uploaded their version of the "Harlem Shake" to YouTube, including cadets at the West Point Library, families across the country, and even the Today Show. Inspired by the trend, the staff at Montellas Pub in Lansdale approached the Montgomery County Patch team with the idea to make our own "Harlem Shake" video while working through lunch, so naturally, we jumped on board. You can't beat candy and Santa. You also can't beat community, as thousands packed West Main Street from Mitchell to Memorial Park Saturday for the 62nd Mardi Gras Parade in Lansdale. There were oohs, there were ahs, there was Santa Claus. This year, his elves were Towamencin volunteer firefighters, and his sleigh, Engine 76-4. He was paraded through town by the likes of North Penn Marching Band, Souderton's Big Red Band, Fairmount Fire Co., Hilltown Fire Co., Lansdale Cannoneers, North Penn YMCA (and Adventure Guides), 4-H Clubs, Mater Dei Catholic School, Knights 4 Life, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Brownies, cops, clowns and — literally — cheerleaders.
