Weezer creates new 'Memories' for fans
The band rocked the Roseland Ballroom in NYC recently, playing some old favorites and making a memorable show by pulling out some rarities
In the heart of New York City, the legendary Roseland Ballroom has hosted thousands of historic concerts. On a cold Saturday night, another was added to that list. With Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Prince playing a few blocks away at Madison Square Garden, it was California alternative rock band Weezer. Playing the eighth date on their 10-leg, Memories Tour, Weezer truly set band -- and a little bit of rock -- history. They played, in its entirety, fan favorite (and often debated) album, Pinkerton, which, up and until recently, frontman and songwriter Rivers Cuomo for years publicly bashed and refused to play any of those songs live.
