A Towamencin woman — who is headed to county trial on prostitution and numerous heroin possession charges in Lansdale — is also headed to county trial on felony theft and felony receiving stolen property charges, as well as cocaine possession charges. Kristen Stephen, 29, of the 200 block of Hickory Court, allegedly broke into her boyfriend's home and stole his gun in order to pay off drug debts. Stephen allegedly stole a gun at a previous date for the same reason, police said. While investigating the theft at the home on Oct. 6, Stephen allegedly gave permission to Towamenicn Police to search her purse, where needles and other paraphernalia used for heroin were found in her possession, according to the affidavit. Kristen Stephen, 29, of the 200 block of Hickory Court, Towamencin — who is headed to trial at Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas on prostitution and drug charges in Lansdale — allegedly dropped three small bags of heroin inside the lobby of Lansdale district court in July, as she was signing paperwork related to a hearing she had that day on those prostitution and drug charges, police said. Stephen also holds an address of the 1500 block of Fort Washington Avenue, Upper Dublin. Prostitution charges against two women who were arrested in a June prostitution sting on West Main Street were held over for Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas Thursday morning. Kristen Rachel Stephen, 29, of the 300 block of W. Main Street, Lansdale, and Janet Lee DeFrancesco, 34, of the 200 block of Danny Lane, Harleysville, were arrested in a prostitution sting conducted by Lansdale Police. Both women face the following misdemeanors at the county level: Both women were never arraigned at their June 12 arrest. Instead, District Judge Harold Borek summoned both by mail. Lansdale Police said an alleged prostitution sting led to the arrest of a suspected heroin dealer in the borough. John Nicholas Gallagher, 45, of the 500 block of Derstine Avenue, Lansdale, was arrested June 22 at his home after a search warrant was served and heroin was found in his home, police said. Gallagher's arrest was the result of a narcotics investigation that began with the arrest of two alleged prostitutes on West Main Street in Lansdale earlier this month.
