For the next several days, rain will not be in the equation as partly cloudy skies and Southern California-like weather moves in
It's about time for sunshine and warm temperatures to arrive in our area. June has actually been below-average when it comes to warmth, but that will change this weekend. For the next several days, the only event going on in the sky is sun with some passing clouds. Father's Day weekend will be one of those seemingly rare events in weather because: 1. It is a weekend, which typically can't escape at least one day with miserable weather. 2. It is like a holiday, so any outside activity will be a success and very comfortable. 3. Low humidity and high temperatures around 80 degrees will make it feel like San Diego, CA. If you are planning on taking a trip to the Jersey Shore, expect mostly sunny skies, but cooler temperatures due to a …

After a slightly chilly month, May has come in like a lamb with temperatures expected to surge into the 70s and 80s this week.
Everytime it's the beginning of a new month I always find myself saying, "Wow, it's all ready (current month)?!" The most tornadoes typically occur this month and the temperatures are perfect, averaging in the mid-70s. This week will be a perfect example of May-like weather, as high temperatures may reach the mid-80s by Friday. There is one problem that is occuring within the next couple of days though: A high-pressure system will be sitting just east of Maine causing surface winds in our area to be blowing from the east. Cooler air from the Atlantic will cause the high temperatures to have trouble making it into the upper-60s to …

It hasn't been that nice out lately, and will continue on for the weekend
April has seen it all: whether it's 85 degrees or 30 degrees or maybe some rain or maybe some snow. Lately, there has been some settlement in the weather, but it is still kind of scattered in some sense. For the next couple of days, expect to see some sun, clouds, rain and possibly some snow mixed in for the more northern areas in our region. Today will most likely be the nicest out of them all with mostly sunny skies and high temperatures peaking in the mid-50s. It will also be fairly windy for the majority of the day with northwest winds at 12 to 18 mph. As for tonight, mostly clear skies will persist along with diminished winds. The calm winds and clear sky will make the low temperatures plumet into the mid-30s by midnight. If you're a …
