Montgomery Township Police are seeking a white male who robbed employees of the Dollar Tree in Montgomery Commons Shopping Center Monday night. Police said the robbery was similar to one in New Britain in February.
Montgomery Township Police are seeking two suspects involved in the Monday night armed robbery of employees at Dollar Tree in Montgomery Commons Shopping Center. Police said the robbery is similar to an armed robbery that occurred Feb. 28, 2013 at 10 p.m. at the Subway in New Britain Township, and another robbery that occurred in Bristol Township. Police said at 10:15 p.m. Monday, officers responded to a reported of an armed robbery at the store at 1200 Welsh Road. A white male confronted employees at the back door of the store and forced his way inside, police said. He was armed with a dark-colored handgun, police said. Lansdale Police also recovered several items taken in the Monday morning robbery
Lansdale Police Street Crimes Unit, along with Sgt. Ryan Devlin’s patrol squad, have made two arrests and recovered a number of items stolen during the commission of the robbery at Hen's Coins and Collectables Monday morning. Police will soon release the names of the suspects and details of the investigation. Sources informed Lansdale Patch that two men threatened the life of the business owner at knifepoint inside the West Main Street business. Owner Henry Statuty was not injured. Lansdale Police have a warrant filed for the arrest of John Sambath, 19, of Philadelphia, who is the alleged shooter in a September 4, 2011 shooting in the Wedgewood development of the borough. According to Matt Coughlin of The Intelligencer, Sambath allegedly shot a now 19-year-old man in the shoulder during an altercation in the neighborhood of Moyers Road. Upper Gwynedd Township Police are investigating a burglary on Station Drive and an attempted burglary on Patriot Drive that occurred Friday
Upper Gwynedd was the choice locale for burglaries Friday by a suspected burglar or burglars. The burglary and attempted burglary occurred in the daytime. At 11:06 a.m., police responded to an attempted burglary on the 900 block of Patriot Drive. Sources posted the address as 921 Patriot Drive in Upper Gwynedd. The homeowner heard loud knocking at the door, but did not recognize the vehicle in the driveway, police said. When he went to check it out, he saw a black male at the back door, attempting to gain entry, police said. The burglar fled upon discovery, police said. A pedestrian was robbed by two suspects at Seventh Street and Maple Avenue in Lansdale Wednesday afternoon
A pedestrian was assaulted and robbed of his backpack by two men at around 2:30 p.m. in Lansdale at Seventh Street and Maple Avenue. Both suspects remain at-large, according to police. Sgt. Mike Trail of Lansdale Police told The Reporter that two suspects were detained by police: one at the train station and the other outside Walgreens at West Main Street and Valley Forge Road. Both suspects told the police they were not involved, were eliminated as suspects and were released, according to The Reporter. According to Trail in the article, one suspect fled the scene on foot towards the Lansdale train station, and the other left the scene in a White Ford vehicle. Police said the man and woman have stolen health and beauty items from Acme on West Main Street at three different dates in May
Towamencin Township Police need your help in identifying two suspects involved in a series of retail thefts from Acme Market, 1150 W. Main Street, Towamencin. Police said the male and female duo have stolen from Acme on three different dates in May 2012. Items stolen include over-the-counter medications, razors and other health and beauty supplies. Police investigating robbery that occurred at North Broad Street 7-11 at 4:15 a.m.
Hatfield Township Police are investigating a robbery that occurred at 4:15 a.m. Jan. 26 at the 7-11 at 1647 N. Broad St. Police said two suspects entered the store with dark-hooded sweatshirts and clothing covering their heads and faces. One suspect ordered the employee to open the register and the employee complied, police said. Once the register was open, both men grabbed the cash from the register before fleeing on foot, police said.
