Philly Mag blogged today about the origin of the Cosby sweater. The sweaters, according to the blog, where from necessity: they wanted Dr. Heathcliff Huxtable to wear suits, but realized his personality wouldn't fit such style. Also, in production, the sweaters wouldn't rustle and move like other types of clothing. Collector's Weekly explored the origin and fascination of the sweaters. For all the sweater's he's worn, Cosby doesn't know today where most of them ended up. Well, maybe you have one? We'd love to see it.
