A Lansdale man and an Ambler man, charged in two armed home invasions that occurred on the 700 block of Willow Street in October 2012 in Lansdale, waived all charges to county arraignment at their preliminary hearings Thursday afternoon. Salvatore Joseph Rocco Jr., 22, of the 400 block of Church Road, Lansdale, and Anthony Thompson, 22, of the 400 block of Railroad Avenue, Ambler, face the following offenses at their formal arraignments Feb. 13 at Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas: A third suspect, Zakarias Hailemicael, 22, whose last known address was the 2400 block of Whitpain Hills Drive in Blue Bell, remains at large, police said. A Lansdale man and an Ambler man have been arrested and charged in two armed home invasions that occurred on the 700 block of Willow Street in October 2012 in Lansdale — and it was the use of a stolen iPhone that led to their arrest. A third suspect, Zakarias Hailemicael, 22, whose last known address was the 2400 block of Whitpain Hills Drive in Blue Bell, has a warrant for his arrest for his involvement, but remains at large, police said. Lansdale Police are investigating a reported home invasion and robbery that occurred Friday morning on Willow Street in Lansdale, where two black males entered a home and asked questions about another man. Lansdale Police said a home invasion and armed robbery report at 718 Willow Street was a targeted incident and not random. Police said officers responded to the residence at 10:20 a.m. A 24-year-old woman who was visiting the home told police two black males broke into the home, threatened her with a gun and bound her hands and feet with tape, police said. The suspects took several electronic items belonging to her, police said. A male resident of the home was not home at the time, police said. Doggie Style at 20 Airport Sq. North Wales closed down the store today without telling employees and customers. Employees came to the store to find everything packed up and gone. A lot of dogs have been hurt and abused by this company.   more ›
