Bibro Named New Hatfield Township Manager

Aaron Bibro, 33, the township manager in Robinson Township, Allegheny County, was named the replacement for Andrew Haines in an unanimous vote Wednesday. Bibro takes the helm of Hatfield Township April 1

Hatfield Township Commissioners voted unanimously Wednesday to appoint Aaron Bibro, 33, as the new township manager. Bibro was selected from more than 49 applicants following resignation of Andrew Haines, according to The Reporter. According to The Reporter, Bibro is lead administrator for a Pittsburgh suburban municipality and will begin April 1. Bibro is at present township manager of Robinson Township in Allegheny County, according to his LinkedIn profile. "I'm leaving mostly for family reasons—my wife is from the Philly area, so it just puts us in a good position that way," Bibro told Moon Patch. "But I'm very sad to leave Robinson. Obviously no. The pool of applicants would be pretty small if you limited it to Hatfield residents. I am pretty sure Mr. Bibro will be relocating. The commute from Pittsburgh would get old.   more ›

Margaret S. Armitage, 67, of Warminster

Margaret S. Armitage, 67, wife of Harry “Bud” Armitage, passed away at her home in Warminster on Sunday, Nov. 4, according to The Courier Times. Armitage was an Abington native and Abington High School graduate, according to her tribute. She was a dancer and saxophonist, and spent most of her career with Bucks County government. Armitage was the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office administrator, according to the tribute. Of the family she is survived by, one is a daughter, Susan Armitage Lewis, of North Wales.
