North Penn PAL Fundraiser for Lansdale Leukemia Patient Gaining Speed

Matthew Knoebel, 13, is undergoing a bone marrow transplant in his battle with acute myeloid leukemia. North Penn Police Activities League is ramping up an April 27 fundraiser, featuring cops versus youth basketball games and Old Navy fashion shows.

The April 27 North Penn Police Activities League fundraiser for teenage Lansdale leukemia patient Matthew Knoebel is getting bigger and better by the month. The highlights of the event, running from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Penndale Middle School in Lansdale, are three youth versus cops basketball games and two Old Navy teen fashion shows with local North Penn School District boys and girls as models. On top of that, there will be food, beverages, a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction and a basket auction. Auction items donated thus far include: The event isn't without its appearances either. Preston & Steve, The Fanatic Step Up for NP PAL Fundraiser

The North Penn Police Activities League is planning an April 27 fundraiser to support a 13-year-old Lansdale boy battling leukemia

Gadzooks! The Preston & Steve Sow of 93.3 WMMR in Philadelphia have stepped up to show its support for an April 27 fundraiser at Penndale Middle School organized by the North Penn Police Activities League. The North Penn PAL is in the midst of planning a fundraiser for Lansdale teen Matthew Knoebel, who is at present battling acute myeloid leukemia. Knoebel recently finished another exhaustive round of chemotherapy at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and he awaits a bone marrow transplant next month. Towamencin Township Police Officer Patrick Horne, a member of the North Penn PAL executive board and police liaison, said he had reached out to Kathy Romano of the Preston & Steve Show. North Penn PAL Planning Fanatical Fundraiser for Leukemia Patient

The North Penn Police Activities League is in the early planning stages of a fundraiser full of flair to benefit 13-year-old Matthew Knoebel, of Lansdale. Early ideas include an Old Navy-sponsored fashion show and a cops vs. kids basketball game

An Old Navy-sponsored fashion show, a "cops vs. kids" Round Robin basketball tournament, a half-court shot contest, a silent auction, Chase Utley autographs, North Penn and Lansdale Catholic sports team volunteers, raffles, hot dogs, sumo fat suit wrestling.
