A 17-year-old boy from Lansdale faces nine charges in Montgomery County court for his alleged role in a stabbing May 6 in Madison Parking Lot. The teen is charged with first-degree felony aggravated assault, second-degree aggravated assault, felony criminal attempted aggravated assault, three counts of misdemeanor simple assault, misdemeanor reckless endangerment, misdemeanor use of an offensive weapon, and harassment, according to court records. The teen remains incarcerated at Montgomery County prison on $25,000 bail, according to prison records. The second suspect, pegged as a conspirator, in an alleged Towamencin Township vehicle insurance fraud scheme was arrested Saturday by Montgomery Township Police at his place of employment. Sterling Dustin Hall Jr., 33, of the 1000 block of Winfield Court in Morgandale, was arrested Dec. 8 at his job on the 200 block of DeKalb Pike in Montgomery Township on a warrant issued by Towamencin Police, police said. Hall Jr. is charged with felony criminal conspiracy to file a fraudulent or false insurance claim and misdemeanor tampering with evidence, according to court records. An Upper Gwynedd man headed to trial for allegedly helping to run a multicounty organized methamphetamine ring was in court again, this time for numerous alleged fraudulent motorcycle sales. Francesco “Frank” Messina, 43, of the 600 block of Garfield Avenue, West Point, is charged with six counts of felony theft by deception and two counts of felony deceptive business practices, according to Dan Sokil of The Reporter. Lansdale Police have arrested a second suspect in the September 2011 armed robbery of Famous Grocery convenience store in Lansdale. Mark S. Williams Jr., 21, of the 800 block of West Fifth Street, Lansdale, was arrested Wednesday and charged in connection to the September 5, 2011 robbery at 21 W. Main St. His alleged accomplice, Jurell Smalls, was arrested September 22 and charged in connection with the robbery, police said. Smalls was also charged with felony drug violations in a separate arrest during a search warrant service on his home. A former handyman at a residence on the 300 block of West Mount Vernon Street in Lansdale was arrested July 28 and charged with felony burglary and other offenses, police said. The Lansdale man accused of hitting a three-year-old boy and driving away from the scene pleaded guilty to careless driving in Hatfield Township in March 2012. Suryakant Patel, 70, of the 700 block of Shaw Avenue, has charges pending from Lansdale Police in connection with an alleged hit-and-run at 1:40 p.m. Sunday June 3. Patel will be summoned at a later date, police said. Patel's vehicle was captured on closed-circuit TV striking James Nichols, 3, as he ran into the street. The vehicle stopped for about 30 seconds before driving away. Witnesses were able to get a partial registration plate number from the vehicle and provide police with a description of the driver.
