The Montgomery County Health Department (MCHD) will be conducting its annual Low-Cost Rabies Immunization Clinics on Saturdays in June for the the program's 22nd consecutive year. "As in previous years, these clinics are located throughout the county in order to ensure that resident pet owners have access to this disease prevention service," said Jessica Willingham, communications assistant for the Montgomery County Office of Communications. Sean Rahatt, 41, is facing more than 100 felony and misdemeanor charges for what police say was the repeated sexual assault of young children in Lansdale, Norristown and Collegeville.
A Norristown man is being held in county prison on $99,000 bail after being arrested and charged with the repeated sexual assault of multiple young victims in Lansdale, Norristown and Collegeville. According to an affidavit of probable cause, 41-year-old Sean Rahatt allegedly sexually assaulted the juveniles, who were under the age of 13, on multiple occasions over a 12-year period. The incidents are said to have occurred in Norristown, Collegeville and Lansdale over that time period. According to the affidavit, Rahatt allegedly told a witness that he had been abused prior and was "reenacting his past." The victims, a mother and her two children, suffered what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.
Last updated 9:10 p.m. Thursday A mother and her two young children were injured Thursday evening in a two car collision on Ridge Pike in Upper Providence Township. Officer Scott Reynolds of the Upper Providence Township Police department said the injured driver, a woman in her 20s, and her two children sustained what he described as non-life-threatening injuries. The mother and children were from "the Collegeville area," Reynolds said. Reynolds said the male driver of the second car, a 17-year-old from Lansdale, was not injured. We frequently have buyers asking us about pre-foreclosure homes that they found on the internet. There are many sites that will give consumers this type of information. Most of these homes are not listed for sale, but some buyers want to know if they can still see the property with the possibility of buying it. Pre-foreclosure simply means that a homeowner has fallen behind on their mortgage payments. And while a foreclosure may eventually happen, at the current time, the home is still rightfully owned by the mortgagor (i.e. homeowner). It does NOT mean that the home is available for sale. Suspect considered armed and dangerous
The Collegeville Police Department and the Philadelphia Division of the FBI are seeking public assistance to identify and locate the suspect responsible for the late-morning robbery of the First Niagra Bank in Collegeville. According to a press release from the FBI, the male suspect entered the bank at approximately 11:35 a.m. on Monday morning, and presented a bank teller with a threatening note demanding money and indicating that he had a gun. The suspect then received an undisclosed amount of money, before fleeing on foot. He was last seen heading east on Main Street. Towamencin Police said the driver of the vehicle violated no laws
The 7-year-old boy who was hit by a driver Tuesday morning on Bustard Road has been released from the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. The child ran into the roadway while walking with an adult, police said. Police said the driver of the strking vehicle was identified as Kun Lee, 68, of the 500 block of Hagey Place, Collegeville. Lee did not leave the road or commit a violation, police said. Lee waited at the scene for police after striking the child, police said.
