Philly Man Steals Aluminum, Busted by GPS

A Philadelphia man who admitted to stealing aluminum forms from a Montgomery Township construction site was ultimately apprehended by a GPS device hidden in the forms. Brian Pierson, 40, of Spring Garden Street, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 11½ to 23 months in prison after pleading guilty to felony theft, according to The Times Herald. Pierson must also serve three years’ probation and pay $13,295 in restitution to J. M. Pereira & Sons of Langhorne, Bucks County, according to the article. Carl Pereira hid a GPS tracking device in an aluminum construction form at the 100 Destiny Way, Montgomery Township, construction site, according to the article. Bobcat Loader Stolen from Construction Site

Police said the construction equipment is valued at $20,000. It was stolen from a construction site on Towamencin Avenue

A Bobcat T180 Compact Track Loader, valued at $20,000, was stolen from the construction site at 1001 Towamencin Avenue, Towamencin Township, according to police. The loader was equipped with a bucket and set of forks, which were taken with it, police said. Police said the Bobcat was stolen between 5:30 p.m. April 6 and 7 a.m. April 9.
