Towamencin business applied to Hatfield Township for hearing for liquor license transfer

The announcement was made public during a Dec. 28 call-in on WNPV 1440AM's "Comment Please by Univest." "It is bittersweet," Breaux said on the show. "I did decide to retire from this part of my career life. I started here after college, and that is unheard of today. I have spent my entire adult working life at The Reporter." Breaux began with The Reporter in September 1973; at that time, it was owned by the Knipe and Berky families under Equitable Publishing. That company also began WNPV 1440 AM. She called Knipe a "totally nice guy." "I still remember when I…

Nona was, by far, the most diligent and respected newspaper editor I ever had the pleasure of working with. She would go to bat for her writers and she always had the best interest of The Reporter on top of her mind. It was great working with her, and same goes for you, too, Chris. I too wish Nona all the best, and look forward to what The Reporter will bring in the form of new management.   more ›
