Lansdale Borough mailed out surveys to Lansdale residents, as part of its process in reviewing the feasibility of contracting with one trash hauler
A week ago today, 87 surveys on the feasibility of a single trash and recycling hauler for Lansdale were completed online through the Lansdale Borough website. There is still time to give feedback. Surveys must be taken by Lansdale Borough residents only. Lansdale Borough is reviewing the need and feasibility of using one trash company to collect trash and recyclables for the entire borough. Surveys can be taken online at: www.surveymonkey.com/s/QLDWDXV. Surveys can also be taken at The Reporter, 307 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, in its Community Media Lab. A feasibility assessment report for the proposed Montgomery Township Recreation and Community Center outlines the center's potential come 2014 and beyond
Montgomery Township will hold the first of many public meetings this evening at 7 to discuss and review the proposed township community and recreation center to be constructed at Stump and Horsham roads. In preparation for the meeting, the township has released the facility needs assessment and feasibility study report conducted by Kimmel Bogrette Architecture + Site. You can read the report at this link. One of the major aspects of the study — the center will be financially successful if it draws users from beyond Montgomery Township. The first year of operation will be 2014 or later, according to the report. A library, pools, meeting rooms and a skate park - such were the main wishes of Montgomery Township residents for the proposed community and recreation center at Stump and Horsham roads. On Wednesday, the township held a public input meeting as part of the needs assessment and feasibility study for the future center. What do you want to see at the Montgomery Townhip Recreation and Community Center? Residents and the public are invited tonight at 7:30 to the township administration building at Stump and Horsham roads to give input for the needs assessment and feasibility study related to the construction of the center. Montgomery Township supervisors have hired the firms of Kimmel Bogrette Architecture + Site and Ballard*King Associates to perform the study for the multi-purpose center.
