Lansdale Boarding Room License Fees Being Scrutinized

Landlords of boarding rooms are being charged the same $58 license fee as apartments, but at that cost per room. Landlords are up in arms about it and now the borough codes department is looking into whether or not that fee is revenue neutral

Budget Billing, Permit Fee Changes for 2012

The borough is looking into paying electric bills by phone as well

In 2012, expect some changes in the way you pay bills and the way you pay for permits in Lansdale Borough. Councilor and administration and finance committee chairman Dan Dunigan said at the council work session this month that budget billing will be introduced next year for electric payments. The budget billing program will be open to residents and businesses, and will be on a rolling 12-month budgeting basis. However, there are some requirements: you must have no balance and at least a payment history of 12 months. “(You need a 12-month history) before we get into being able to extend the budget billing to our residents and business clients on the electric side of things,” he said. The committee is also looking into payment via phone. “…
