UPDATE 7:45 p.m. Detective Sergeant John Ciarlello of Hatfield Township Police said Hatfield Township Police responded to a call of an armed subject threatening suicide at 2:56 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16. Hatfield Township officers made contact with the subject and confirmed he was armed with a handgun, Ciarlello said. The subject was directed to exit and surrender to police, but he refused. Ciarlello said when the subject refused to surrender, the North Penn Tactical Response Team was activated and responded to the scene. A command center was set up at the former J.L. Curtis Walton, 50, of the Neshaminy Falls development, was pulled over after being recognized by a Whitpain Township police officer
Curtis Mansfield Walton, 50, of the 100 block of Upland Court, in the Neshaminy Falls development in Montgomery Township, was nabbed on an active warrant out of Hatfield Township by a Whitpain Township police officer. On July 14, at 3 p.m., an officer on patrol on Railroad Avenue at Mt. Pleasant Avenue in the West Ambler section of Whitpain Township recognized Walton behind the wheel of a blue Mazda, police said. The officer was aware that there was an active warrant out of Hatfield Township for Walton, police said. The officer stopped the vehicle and took Walton into custody.
