Letter: Mother of Friend of Lansdale Robbery Suspect Defends Teen

Cindy Brandt of Lansdale wrote The Reporter in Lansdale saying there is still hope for one of two suspects charged in the Hen's Coins robbery of Jan. 21

Cindy Brandt, of Lansdale, is the mother of a friend of Hen's Coins and Collectables robbery suspect Gene Ray Kulp, a North Penn High School senior and football player. Kulp was arrested, along with Michael Creciun and Anthony Hughes, in connection with the Martin Luther King Jr. Day robbery of the Lansdale Main Street business. Brandt wrote a Letter to the Editor of The Reporter, where she expressed hope and prayers for Kulp's future. Read the letter at this link on The Reporter Online.

Third Arrest Made in Hen's Coins Robbery

Police said Anthony Hughes, 25, of West Third Street, Lansdale, allegedly participated in the robbery of Hen's Coins and Collectables in Lansdale on Jan. 21. Hughes allegedly disposed of a gun and knife used in the robbery

Lansdale Police have arrested and charged a third suspect for his alleged involvement in the Hen's Coins and Collectables robbery in Lansdale. Anthony Joseph Hughes, 25, of the unit block of West Third Street, Lansdale, was arrested and charged Jan. 29 with the following offenses: Hughes was arraigned before District Judge Harold Borek, who set bail at $25,000 cash, police said. Hughes is currently incarcerated at Montgomery County prison. A preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 14 before Borek, police said. Lansdale Police said an investigation continued after the arrests of Michael Creciun and Gene Kulp for the Jan. 21 robbery of Hen's Coins and Collectables, police said.
