Sketch Released of West Point Home Invader

Upper Gwynedd Township Police said the suspect kicked in the door of a home on West Point Pike Monday morning and fled out the rear door after the resident grabbed a knife

He eluded police, but they need your help in finding the suspect. Upper Gwynedd Township Police have released a sketch of the suspect involved in the home invasion Monday morning in West Point. The suspect is described as a black male, 6 feet tall, medium build, with a dark black or blue shirt and dark blue jean, police said. The suspect was also wearing a black-colored stocking over his head. Police said he appeared to be wearing gloves with fingertips exposed. There were no weapons displayed or insinuated, police said. Police said the woman who was home during the home invasion struggled with the suspect in the kitchen and she was able to grab a knife. The suspect then fled out the back door. Female resident said to be "okay" after physical struggle with black male suspect

Update, 4:23 p.m. Monday, May 21: Chief David Duffy said they have not found a suspect. He said the investigation is still active. Earlier Story Below Upper Gwynedd Township Police are looking for a man who kicked in the front door of an occupied West Point residence at about 11:15 a.m. Monday in an attempt to burglarize the home. Upper Gwynedd Township Police Chief David Duffy said the resident struggled with the suspect inside the home, "particularly in the kitchen area," and was eventually able to grab a knife, at which point the suspect fled the residence through a rear door. Well it looks like we have a "pantyhose" bandit in the area. Hope he understands if he kicks in the wrong door he could be shot an killed. An it would be self defence. I wonder someties what runs through some of these people's heads.   more ›
