About 300 guests participated in the kickoff for the 22nd annual multicultural event, coming April 20 to North Penn High School
While the 22nd annual International Spring Festival brings its multicultural flair to North Penn High School on April 20, the kickoff event Thursday at Christopher Dock Mennonite High School previewed what to expect at the ethnic and cultural celebration in diversity. Planning Committee Co-Chair Tom Meyer told The Reporter that the kickoff event lets sponsors know that the festival is happening again, and lets new sponsors and new volunteers sign on for a chance to be part of the festival. Twenty-one years of culture. Twenty-one years of celebration
The scents! The sounds! The sights! Savory! All senses were satisifed Saturday at the 21st International Spring Fest, a collaboration by Lansdale Library and North Penn High School. Name a country - chances are it was there. And each one had on display what makes it the best - everything from textiles and Russian nesting dolls to Gabon snakeskins and Egyptian statues. There were Chinese folk dancers, Bangladeshi dancers and Elite Strings youth orchestra in the audion. Throughout the day in the main gym was a martial arts and sword fighting demo, a Chinese fan dance, an umbrella-ella-ella dance, and Ballet Folklorico de Acapulco. The International Spring Festival hits North Penn High School today. Across town, at Montgomery Mall, an Earth Day event takes place all day
1. The International Spring Festival, hosted annually by Lansdale Library, takes place today from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at North Penn High School, 1340 Valley Forge Road, Towamencin.
