Joseph W. Sarni, 38, of the 500 block of Walnut Street, pleaded guilty in Montgomery County Court to felony drug dealing charges from June 2012 in Lansdale.
A Lansdale man, who went missing for three months last year, is headed to Montgomery prison for three to 23 months after pleading guilty Wednesday to felony drug dealing, according to Peg Gibbons of The Intelligencer. Joseph W. Sarni, 38, of the 500 block of Walnut Street, will begin his jail term at 6 p.m. March 1, according to court records. Gibbons reported Sarni must also perform 12 hours of community service and pay $300 in fines. Sarni, who has been a DJ across the United States and attended Upper Dublin High School, sold and delivered drugs in Lansdale Borough via his bicycle, according to court records. A Lansdale man whose family reported missing in July — and who Lansdale Police filed felony drug charges against in July — has turned up and turned himself in to police Tuesday morning. Joseph Sarni, 38, of Walnut Street, appeared at the police station at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, police said. An outstanding felony drug warrant was issued by District Judge Catherine McGill of Oreland on July 18. The warrant charged Sarni with the following narcotics offenses: Police said concern over Sarni's well being by police, family and the community resulted in an extensive search for Sarani after he went missing. While missing Lansdale resident Joseph Sarni, 38, has yet to be found, Lansdale Police have issued an arrest warrant in his absence charging him with felony and misdemeanor drug possession and dealing offenses. Lansdale Police released the following statement following the issuance of the arrest warrant: A number of our officers know Joe through the local businesses he worked for. Though an arrest warrant has been issued, our primary focus is to continue to investigate Joe’s recent disappearance and ensure his safe return. Foul play is suspected by the family, according to his sister Jamie Sarni Parsons. Sarni is 38 years old. He has a thin build, is 5 feet 8 inches tall with brown hair and hazel eyes. He has a scar under each eye. He has tattoos on his arms, with distinguishable ones being a lizard and tribal symbols. He also has a Celtic heart tattoo on his right chest.
