Living Hope Farm in Harleysville offers a different type of community gardening.
For Jill Landes, a little bit of hope reaps some wondrous fruits. "It felt like God was opening a whole lot of doors." Landes said. "I felt passionate about the organic thing, the land use, and they were going to work this into a new ministry of the Franconia Conference. I was in; I wanted to do this." Passion is the best word to describe Living Hope Farm. Living Hope Farm is a historic farmstead on Indian Creek Road in Harleysville operating as an organically-grown community-supported agriculture (CSA). A CSA is a cooperative linking a local farm to the community. Members purchase a share of the farm, and farmers grow produce throughout the season for members.
