Bail Reduced for 'Gingerbread Man'

A formal arraignment is scheduled for April.

Mark William Gross, who styled himself as "the Gingerbread Man" as he used the Lansdale Patch page on Facebook to taunt police that they couldn't catch him, waived his preliminary hearing on Thursday at District Court 38-1-28 in Lansdale. Wearing dark blue fatigues from the Montgomery County Correctional Facility, the bearded Gross, 21, sat in a secured conference room near the court clerks' counter as his defense attorney reached an agreement with prosecutors to reduce his effective bail by 90 percent. Gross is charged with a number of offenses related to the alleged distribution and possession of cocaine and various prescription drugs in the North Penn area, as well as with felony flight to avoid apprehension. Alleged Hatfield Cocaine Dealer Wanted by Lansdale Cops

The Lansdale Police Department is seeking the public's help in locating an alleged cocaine dealer from Hatfield who police say sold the drug in the Lansdale area. A felony arrest warrant for Mark William Gross, 21, formerly of the 1000 block of Stoneham Circle, has been issued by District Judge Harold Borek, police said. Gross is also wanted by the Montgomery County Adult Probation Department for a probation violation. Gross pleaded guilty in 2011 to assaulting his then-pregnant girlfriend in Lansdale. In September 2012, Lansdale Police received information that Gross was allegedly selling controlled substances in the Lansdale region, police said.
