A Montgomery Township man admitted Friday to being a cocaine kingpin in a multi-county trafficking ring. According to Carl Hessler Jr. in North Penn Life, Anthony Dennis Sr., 41, of the 100 block of Thames Drive, pleaded guilty in Montgomery County court to charges of corrupt organizations, possession with intent to deliver cocaine, dealing in unlawful proceeds, criminal use of a communication facility and conspiracy. All in all, Dennis pleaded guilty to 103 drug-related counts, according to the article. Dennis, who police said owned the “Heads Up” barbershop in Wayne, Chester County, possessed, delivered and conspired with other to deliver cocaine between November 2008 and April 2011, according to the article. Lansdale, Montgomeryville homes are worth more now than in year's past
According to a report on Bloomberg.com, housing prices increased more than was forecasted in July. In year-over-year growth, the figures increased, showing a spur in economic growth. The S&P/Case-Shiller index of property values across 20 different cities in the nation has increased 1.2 percent from July 2011, the largest in a 12-month period since August 2010, said the report. “We’re finally seeing a more sustained and broad-based improvement in home prices,” said Millan Mulraine, senior U.S. strategist for TD Securities in New York, in the Bloomberg article. “The housing sector has made an important turn here, and that is being sustained.” In Lansdale and Montgomery Township, even steeper growth has been shown since 2000. The inaugural event in Montgomery Township on the new Route 202 Parkway brought out 363 runners for the race, with proceeds from entry fees benefitting the Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation
The Montgomery Township "It's Finally Done Fun Run" on Sunday morning was a huge success, bringing out 363 runners to race on the soon-to-be-completed Route 202 Parkway. "We wanted 100," said Montgomery Township Public Information Coordinator Stacy Crandell, who organized the event with supervisors Chairwoman Candyce Chimera, "but we got more than we expected. We were very happy." Chimera said the weather was fantastic for the race. "Last year, we talked about how important it was for us to be interconnected for this project. Pau Chau, 25, faces 11 charges, including felony robbery and assault, in connection with the armed robbery of employees outside LumenOptix in Montgomery Township in March
Montgomery Township Police nabbed Cleveland Ford Jr. two weeks ago for his alleged role in the armed robbery of three LumenOptix employees on March 30, 2012. Now, police said they have his alleged accomplice — Pau Chau, 25, of Philadelphia. Chau was arrested by Montgomery Township Police on August 30 on the following charges: Chau was arraigned Aug. 30 before District Judge Andrea Duffy, who set bail at $100,000 cash, according to court records. Chau remains incarcerated at Montgomery County Prison in lieu of bail. A preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 10 at 2 p.m. before Duffy. According to court records, this is Chau's first and only criminal offense in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, including Philadelphia. Police said Chau and Ford …

Montgomery Township Supervisors Monday presented donations to two area agencies, Visiting Nurse Association-Community Services and The PEAK Center in Lansdale
A total of $4,500 was donated to two local agencies whose missions deal with the health and wellness of the public. The nonprofit Visiting Nurse Association-Community Services Inc. and The PEAK Center in Lansdale each received $1,500 and $3,000, respectively. According to its website, VNA-Community Services Inc. is a nonprofit that provides community-based programs that address family health and social service needs. It provides in-home services and health specialist programs to senior citizens, a prescription drug support program and children's programs like preschool screening, primary pediatric care and child care health consultation. Curtis Mansfield Walton, 50, of the 100 block of Upland Court, in the Neshaminy Falls development in Montgomery Township, was nabbed on an active warrant out of Hatfield Township by a Whitpain Township police officer. On July 14, at 3 p.m., an officer on patrol on Railroad Avenue at Mt. Pleasant Avenue in the West Ambler section of Whitpain Township recognized Walton behind the wheel of a blue Mazda, police said. The officer was aware that there was an active warrant out of Hatfield Township for Walton, police said. The officer stopped the vehicle and took Walton into custody. A total of 32 suspects were arrested in connection with a methamphetamine distribution network which spanned from northern Montgomery County to Philadelphia.
Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Ferman has announced the arrest of 32 suspects in connection with a large-scale methamphetamine trafficking operation, which spanned from northern Montgomery County to Philadelphia and included 12 residents of Lansdale Borough and Hatfield, Towamencin, Montgomery and Upper Gwynedd townships. Methamphetamine was recovered from a motorcycle repair shop in Lansdale, according to the report, just one of many locations where police executed a search warrant. One of those arrested in charged with drug violations include Ronald Krauss, owner of Bad Ronald's Custom Tattooing in Lansdale.
