Felony Charges Held in Towamencin Teen's Alleged Child Rape Case

Rasheed J. Adams-Smith, 19, of Brunswick Court, is charged with rape of a child and more for alleged incidents that occurred since 2009 in Towamencin Township and Ambler Borough, when the girl was still in Pull-Ups.

A Towamencin teen heads to Montgomery County court on numerous felony charges related to numerous alleged rapes of a girl under the age of nine, following a preliminary hearing in Lansdale District Court last week. Rasheed J. Adams-Smith, 19, of the 200 block of Brunswick Court in the Morgandale development in Towamencin, is charged with: Adams-Smith had his bail reduced from $500,000 cash to $99,000 cash bail at his preliminary hearing before District Judge Harold Borek, according to court records. As part of his bail conditions, Adams-Smith cannot reside or be within Morgandale, cannot have any contact with the alleged victim's family or the victim by himself or through a third party, and cannot have contact with the alleged victim in …

Second Towamencin Insurance Fraud Suspect Arrested

Sterling Dustin Hall Jr., 33, of Morgandale, was arrested by Montgomery Township Police at his place of employment

The second suspect, pegged as a conspirator, in an alleged Towamencin Township vehicle insurance fraud scheme was arrested Saturday by Montgomery Township Police at his place of employment. Sterling Dustin Hall Jr., 33, of the 1000 block of Winfield Court in Morgandale, was arrested Dec. 8 at his job on the 200 block of DeKalb Pike in Montgomery Township on a warrant issued by Towamencin Police, police said. Hall Jr. is charged with felony criminal conspiracy to file a fraudulent or false insurance claim and misdemeanor tampering with evidence, according to court records. Hall Jr. was arraigned by District Judge William I. Maruszczak in King of Prussia, who set bail at $10,000 unsecured, police said. Hall was released from custody. A …

A Towamencin man turned himself into police, and another resident remains at large, on charges of felony insurance fraud in the township. Ian Jared Crotzer, 30, of the 100 block of Monroe Drive, Towamencin, in the Towamencin Condominiums development, turned himself into Towamencin Township Police on November 29, police said. Sterling Dustin Hall Jr., 33, aka Dawson Mullin, is wanted by police and his current whereabouts are unknown, police said. Hall Jr. had a last known address of the 1000 block of Winfield Court in Morgandale in Towamencin. Hall pleaded guilty to and was convicted of statutory rape at age 21 in June 2001, from an incident that occurred in October 2000 in Towamencin, according to court records. He was sentenced to a …

Teen Girl Arrested for Biting Man

Amanda Cahill, 18, allegedly bit a male resident

Amanda Merie Cahill, 18, of the 2400 block of Hillock Court, Towamencin, in the Morgandale development, was charged Feb. 24 with simple assault and harassment after she allegedly bit and fought with a man at her residence, police said. Cahill was arraigned by District Judge Andrea Duffy and committed to Montgomery County prison in lieu of $10,000 cash bail, police said. On Feb. 24, at 1:15 a.m., police responded to Cahill’s home for a reported assault. Police arrested Cahill for allegedly assaulting a male resident of the home, police said. The male resident suffered a bite wound to his side, police said. The physical confrontation followed a verbal argument between the two, police said.
