Former Teacher Faces Up to 507 Years in Prison

Nicole Jacques, 25, faces 31 felony counts related to her alleged sexual encounters with a former student after she quit her job. If convicted on all counts, she faces up to 507 years in prison. Court records say she and victim had sex more than 50 times

In order to prevent the 15-year-old victim from testifying at Nicole Jacques's preliminary hearing Tuesday afternoon at Souderton district court, Montgomery County Assistant District Attorney Matt Quigg dropped 39 felony counts and Jacques' attorney Mark Wilkov and his client waived remaining charges to county court. As part of her bail conditions, Jacques cannot have contact with the victim, his family and any minor. Futhermore, Judge Ken Deatelhauser said Jacques cannot have any third party act on her behalf, with the exception of her lawyer. "I believe she (understands)," said Wilkov. Former Teacher Faces 70 Felonies at Tuesday Preliminary Hearing

The preliminary hearing for Nicole Jacques remains scheduled for Tuesday at 1 p.m. before District Judge Kenneth Deatelhauser. Jacques, 25, of Hatfield Village Apartments in Hatfield Township, faces 70 felony charges related to an alleged sexual relationship she had with a 15-year-old male student. Jacques, police said, was formerly employed as a teacher at Calvary Baptist School in Towamencin. Former Teacher Charged with 70 Counts of Child Sex Crimes

Nicole Jacques, of Hatfield, allegedly had an affair with a former 15-year-old boy, police said

A parochial school teacher from Hatfield has been charged with 20 counts of statutory rape, 20 counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, 10 counts of unlawful contact with a minor and 20 counts of a corruption of minors by Hatfield Township Police Monday for an alleged affair with a 15-year-old boy. Nicole Jacques, 25, of Hatfield Village Apartments, was arraigned Monday before District Judge Harry J. Nesbitt III and remanded to Montgomery County prison in lieu of 10 percent of $50,000 cash bail. Jacques will have a preliminary hearing April 4 at 1 p.m. before District Judge Kenneth Deatelhauser. somehow I think she will get off with a lighter sentence than a man. A male teacher would be looking at 20 years or more for this crime. She may even beat the sex offender registry. Don't misunderstand that I believe it is proper for a man or a woman. Pink Floyd said, "Leave the kids alone" and that is the way it should be. I hope I am wrong about her sentence.   more ›
