Update: Victims ID'd in Fatal Silverdale Crash

The accident occurred Saturday evening at Routes 152 and 113. The victims are Mary E. Dodds, 49, of Montgomery Township, and Stacy Byrne, 32, of Croydon

Monday 12:51 a.m. Update The victims in Saturday's fatal accident in Silverdale Borough have been identified. The driver of the Chevrolet Cavalier was identified as Stacy Byrne, 32, of Prospect Avenue of Croydon, police said. The driver of the Toyota Camry — which hit the Cavalier from behind, struck a rock and went airborne — is identified as Mary E. Dodds, 49, of the 100 block of Damson Lane, Montgomery Township, police said. The passenger in the Cavalier who was injured was Byrne's husband, Ian Byrne. One Reported Injured in Route 309 Accident

Route 309 is closed in both directions in Hatfield. The driver of a utility truck hit a utility pole, causing PPL wires to fall across the road

The driver of a utility truck was injured in an accident on Route 309 near Hilltown Pike Tuesday afternoon in Hatfield Township after crashing into a utility pole. PPL is currently at the scene to address power lines that came down after the accident onto the vehicle, according to reports. The driver was kept inside the truck until PPL disconnected power. Route 309 is closed in both directions between Orvilla Road and Hilltown Pike as of 4:25 p.m. Tuesday. It may be closed during rush hour The driver was treated at the scene by Volunteer Medical Service Corps and released at the scene, according to reports. Stay tuned for further updates.
