Local Website Designers: RFP Coming for Lansdale.org Facelift

A website redesign is on the horizon in Lansdale Borough, as two commissions implement the branding touchpoints from the recent brand narrative and platform. Local designers, and national designers, can submit a Request for Proposal

Lansdale Borough knows its website stinks. It's no surprise then — now that the 100-plus-page branding narrative and platform from North Star Destination Strategies is in the hands of borough council and committeemembers — that a facelift of www.lansdale.org is a major branding touchpoint to be implemented ASAP. "It's not easy," said Communication Commission Chairman Denton Burnell Monday night at the joint session with the borough Economic Development Committee, "but we absolutely have to tackle it now 100 percent. We have to throw out the old and start over." Suggestions were made at the final presentation on the branding initiative by North Star of what a website could look like. Towamencin Police Receives State Accreditation

The department overhauled its policy manual to meet 114 areas of the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association Accreditation Program. It is the 83rd out of more than 1,200 state departments to complete the program

Give Towamencin Township Police some accredit — it’s worked hard for this elite status. Last Wednesday, Towamencin Township Police was honored for completion of the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association’s Accreditation Program. According to Bradley Schlegel of The Reporter, Towamencin is the 83rd out of more than 1,200 departments in the state to complete the accreditation process. According to Towamencin Township Police Chief Tim Dickinson in The Reporter article, the department spent six years perfecting requirements in 114 areas, including management, evidence control, fiscal management, officer training and communications.
