Damaged Red Volvo Sought in Lansdale Hit-and-Run

A pedestrian was hit by a red Volvo at N. Broad Street and Second Street in Lansdale. The car has windshield and hood damage, police said

If you know of a red Vovlo with windshield and hood damage, then it is suggested you contact Lansdale Police — as it's the make of vehicle in Friday evening's hit-and-run in Lansdale. For the third time since March, a pedestrian was hit at Second Street and North Broad Street in the borough. At around 6 p.m. Friday, a 40-year-old man from Franklin Street in Lansdale was crossing North Broad Street east from Second Street, when he was hit by a red Volvo in the yellow dividing lines, police said. The car was south on Broad Street, police said.  Witnesses told police the Volvo failed to stop after hitting the pedestrian, and continued on Broad Street. It wasn't he who was hit two other times, it was two other incidents since March. Leaving dumb comments like that only makes you look dumb. Clearly, there is an issue at this corner that needs to be addressed. I hope the Volvo is found and the person punished to the full extent of the Law, and I wish the man who was hit the best!   more ›

Montgomery Woman Hit by Car, Injured Tuesday Evening

Jung Baik, 66, was crossing North Wales Road when she was hit by Michelle Barnes of Lansdale, police said

A Montgomery Township woman was airlifted for treatment of injuries Tuesday evening after she was hit by a car as she crossed North Wales Road. Police said Jung Baik, 66, was attempting to cross at Harbob Lane, when she was struck by a Chevrolet Impala driven by Michelle Barnes, of Lansdale, at around 5:30 p.m. Baik was transported via PennStar to the Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania for treatment of injuries, police said. Barnes was uninjured, police said. The accident remains under investigation by Montgomery Township Police Department Highway Safety Unit. Witnesses to the accident can call police at 215-362-2301.
