Moyer Indoor/Outdoor Set to Demolish Reliance Inn

The HVAC company in Souderton purchased the property in October. The demolition is needed for better truck traffic to its feed mill

Moyer Indoor/Outdoor is set to demolish the Reliance Inn, which was recently purchased by the HVAC and pool maintenance company. According to Theresa Hegel of PhillyBurbs.com, the former restaurant and inn at East Reliance Road and South Fourth Street will be demolished by the beginning of February. Moyer Indoor/Outdoor purchased the property for $290,000 in October, according to Montgomery County records. The reason for demolition: Better truck traffic to Moyer Indoor/Outdoor’s feed mill, according to the article. The three-story building was built in 1882. When Moyer Indoor/Outdoor owner David Moyer was asked by Hegel about preserving the building, Moyer said his company has been around longer, even before Souderton was incorporated. …

Doggie Style at 20 Airport Sq. North Wales closed down the store today without telling employees and customers. Employees came to the store to find everything packed up and gone. A lot of dogs have been hurt and abused by this company.   more ›

Two Lansdale Residents Charged in Walmart Thefts

Hilltown Township Police have charged two residents in two separate retail theft incidents at the store on Bethlehem Pike

Hilltown Police have charged two Lansdale residents with retail theft for two separate incidents at Walmart on Bethlehem Pike in Hilltown. According to PhillyBurbs.com, Teraysa Garcia, 19, was arrested after she attempted to leave Walmart with $60 in merchandise in her purse on Oct. 8. In a separate incident, Robert Merriweather, 27, was charged after he attempted to steal $80 in mercandise on Oct. 18, according to the article. Read more Hilltown Township arrests at this link.

Warminster Woman Sent to Jail For Stealing $120 in Body Wash

Claudia Rohrer, 46, stole the items from Rite Aid in Montgomery Township

A Warminster woman is headed to prison on a felony theft conviction after stealing $102 worth of body wash and lotion from a Montgomery Township Rite Aid in August, according to Peg Gibbons of PhillyBurbs. Claudia E. Rohrer, 46, of the first block of Newtown Road, was sentenced to three months to 23 months in Montgomery County prison, according to the article. Rohrer has a history of retail theft convictions, according to the article. The article states the Rohrer was seen running out of Rite Aid with a bag on Aug. 6, which set off the security alarm around 7:45 p.m. Rohrer got into a white van and drove west on Route 63. An Upper Gwynedd police officer stopped Rohrer’s vehicle in North Wales, according to the article.

Wegmans Coming to Montgomery Mall in Former Boscov's Site

Wegmans representative said Boscov's site would be demolished and a new freestanding store built in its place

Wegmans Food Market is coming to Montgomery Mall. Simon Property Group annouced Wednesday that it has entered into a ground lease with Wegmans to bring the supermarket to the former Boscov's space. Ashley Pompei, Montgomery Mall marketing manager and business development, said there is no timeframe for Wegmans to open at the mall. "An agreement has been signed. Yes, it's coming and we're excited for Wegmans to join the Montgomery Mall, as are they. I don't know of any other markets in malls in this area," Pompei said. Jo Natale, Wegmans director of media relations, said the Boscov's site at Montgomery Mall would be demolished and a new store would be built in its place.
