Two accidents Saturday afternoon in Towamencin Township and Montgomery Township resulted in Medevac for injured individuals.
Two major accidents with entrapment occurred Saturday at opposite ends of the North Penn School District. At around 2:15 p.m., Fire Department of Montgomery Township responded to a vehicle accident at Route 309 and Hartman Road. The accident closed northbound 309 for more than two hours. The vehicle was found on its side, with one person trapped, according to MontcoAlerts. JeffStat was called in to transport the injured individual. Around the same time, a major accident closed Old Forty Foot Road on the 2000 block in Towamencin Township. A vehicle hit a tree and overturned, trapping two individuals and leaving one of them unconscious, according to Towamencin Township Fire reports. Stay tuned for more details.

Route 309 is closed in both directions in Hatfield. The driver of a utility truck hit a utility pole, causing PPL wires to fall across the road
The driver of a utility truck was injured in an accident on Route 309 near Hilltown Pike Tuesday afternoon in Hatfield Township after crashing into a utility pole. PPL is currently at the scene to address power lines that came down after the accident onto the vehicle, according to reports. The driver was kept inside the truck until PPL disconnected power. Route 309 is closed in both directions between Orvilla Road and Hilltown Pike as of 4:25 p.m. Tuesday. It may be closed during rush hour The driver was treated at the scene by Volunteer Medical Service Corps and released at the scene, according to reports. Stay tuned for further updates.

One person reportedly transported to hospital via helicopter
A serious two-car accident in Hatfield Township closed Route 309 in both directions Friday night. The highway was closed between Unionville Pike and Sterling Drive. A BNN bulletin described one person being transported "in traumatic arrest" to Temple University Hospital. A beige or tan sedan and a dark colored SUV were visible at the scene. The SUV appeared to have broadsided the sedan. Officials at the scene declined to answer questions and denied a reporter access to the area.

Anne Coffey, 87, resided in Chalfont
A Chalfont woman died in an accident Monday afternoon at Route 309 and Richardson Road in Montgomery Township. Anne Coffey, 87, of Edinboro Circle, New Britain, was behind the wheel of a white 1996 Ford Taurus and collided with a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup truck, police said. The driver of the pickup truck, William Miller, 39, of East Old State Road in Sellersville, was uninjured, police said. Coffey was pulling out of the Heritage Executive Campus at 595 Bethlehem Pike when she hit the pickup truck, which was northbound on Route 309, police said. A PennSTAR MedEvac was placed on standby and stood down as Coffey went into cardiac arrest on the scene, according to a source familiar with the crash. Coffey was transported to Lansdale by a …
