Fire began in ceiling ventilation fan in bathroom
Two residents and their dog were safely evacuated from a double-wide converted mobile home at 11 Shagbark Court West in the Walnut Meadows retirement community in Towamencin after a ventilation fan caused a roof fire Tuesday morning. Montgomery County records list the homeowners as William and Joan Baumeister. "A ceiling ventilation fan in the master bathroom was burning up into the ceiling itself," said Towamencin Fire Marshal Kevin Pezzano. "The residents called and said they had a fire in the ceiling.
