Lakeview Drive Residents Submit Petition on Speeders
Police Chief Robert McDyre said a stop sign and speed bumps are improbable and not warranted.
A pair of Lansdale residents living on Lakeview Drive presented the borough’s public safety committee with its first petition Wednesday, according to chairman Michael Sobel. Erin McWilliams and Mike Benson hope the petition signed by themselves and their neighbors will prompt police to crack down on motorists speeding through their neighborhood. According to McWilliams and Benson, the speeding motorists are coming westbound onto Lakeview to avoid the traffic light at North Wales Road and Main Street.
