An alleged heroin user from Reliance Place in Telford had her preliminary hearing continued for felony drug charges Tuesday afternoon at District Judge Harold Borek's court. Dianna Laird, 33, allegedly admitted to Towamencin Police to using heroin in June in the bathroom of Towamencin Wawa, along with her friend, Stephanie Teufel, of Reliance Court in Telford. The continuance was granted without a public defender present for Laird. She appeared at district court Tuesday afternoon, claiming she spoke with her public defender, who told her to come into court herself and ask for the continuance. A Telford woman who was arrested at a Towamencin Wawa with heroin in her possession waived her preliminary hearing at the court of District Judge Harold Borek Tuesday morning, and heads to Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas on three felony charges. Stephanie Teufel, 23, of the unit block of Reliance Court, declined comment to a reporter from The Reporter following her hearing. Teufel was arrested by Towamencin Police June 30 at around 5:17 p.m., along with Dianna Laird, 33, of the 100 block of Reliance Place, Telford. Laird failed to appear at her preliminary hearing in July in Skippack and a bench warrant was issued for her arrest. Two Telford women were caught allegedly with heroin in their possessions in the bathroom of Wawa at 200 Forty Foot Road in Towamencin. Dianna Laird, 33, of the 100 block of Reliance Place, and Stephanie Teufel, 23, of the unit block of Reliance Court, were arrested by Towamencin Police June 30 at around 5:17 p.m. Laird was turned over to Lower Salford Township Police on an active warrant, police said. Drug charges are pending. Teufel was charged with the following, which includes three felonies: Teufel was arraigned before District Judge Robert Sobeck of Blue Bell and released on 10 percent of $10,000 bail, police said.
