Students at Area Colleges Seek 'Sugar Daddies'

Temple University third, Penn State 12th on SeekingArrangement.com's list of "Fastest Growing Sugar Baby Schools."

An online dating service that matches college students with “sugar daddies” said female students at Temple University and Penn State University are among the most active on its site. SeekingArrangement.com released a list of the "Fastest Growing Sugar Baby Schools,” ranking colleges where it says the most women are signing up for the site. Temple University students were No. 3 on the list, while Penn State University Students were No. 12, according to a press release. Members sign up for this dating site as either a "sugar daddy," "sugar momma" or "sugar baby." Sugar babies are described on the website as “students, actresses, models or girls- and guys-next-door. North Penn Grad Making an Impact with Temple Softball

     Some softball players hit home runs or put together eye-popping batting averages.  Samantha Schoell is doing her part at Temple as an unsung hero.      Schoell recently completed her junior season at the Big Five school.  The North Penn graduate hit second in the lineup for the Owls during the season.  Schoell didn’t have the highest batting average or the top slugging percentage on the team, but she was a key contributor for a Temple team that reached the Atlantic 10 playoffs.      “I want to contribute every day,” said Schoell.  “Even if I’m not getting hits, I’m definitely moving the runners and getting them in scoring position.  Someone has to do that on the team and I’m glad I can contribute in some way.”      Schoell started in …

Jack and Lucy Cleary serve as the 2011 March of Dimes Ambler Ambassadors

A local family encourages the community to join In walking together for stronger, healthier babies.

We have recounted the story hundreds of times. It is a story that we are happy to tell because it has such a great ending. But when Jack and Lucy were born, we were not sure that would be the case. Born 15 weeks too soon, Jack and Lucy spent more than 100 long days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) struggling to survive. Luckily for our family, the twins did survive. And today, Jack and Lucy thrive. We realize how research helped Jack and Lucy make it through their first few weeks of life. And we know that the March of Dimes supported much of the research that saved their lives. This year, Jack and Lucy and our family have been selected as the 2011 Ambassador Family for the Temple Ambler March for Babies event so they could share …
