Police: Upper Gwynedd Man Had List of Items to Steal

Claudio Antonio Anlas, 50, of the 1100 block of Bloomfield Circle, allegedly burglarized and trespassed at an unfinished development on Towamencin Avenue in Towamencin Township in January.

An Upper Gwynedd man who was caught allegedly burglarizing an unfinished development on Towamencin Avenue in Towamencin, and allegedly had a list of items to take from the development in his pocket, heads to Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas arraignment. Peruvian national Claudio Antonio Anlas, 50, of the 1100 block of Bloomfield Circle, Upper Gwynedd, is facing a felony count of burglary, a felony count of criminal trespassing and a misdemeanor count of theft following his January arrest, according to court records. All charges were held over for trial following his preliminary hearing last week in Lansdale District Court. $900 Stolen in Blue Dog Pub Burglary Tuesday

About $900 in cash was stolen from a lockbox at the Towamencin Township bar and restaurant in the early morning hours Tuesday. Police believe the burglar or burglars hid inside the Valley Forge Road pub until after closing.

Towamencin Township Police said about $900 in cash was stolen from a lockbox during a burglary at Blue Dog Pub in Towamencin early Tuesday morning. Police said an alarm activated at 2:38 a.m., following closing of the bar at 850 Valley Forge Road. There was no forced entry, which police said leads to the possibility that the suspect or suspects hid in the business prior to closing, police said. Any bar patron who remained until closing Monday night to early Tuesday morning and who may have information on the burglary, or anyone else with information, should contact police at 215-368-7606.

Register Now for Towamencin Police '5-0' 5K

Don't run from the cops; run for them. The June 15 event is a revival of a former 5K run that never gained speed. An open house at Towamencin Township Police will follow the 5K.

Registration is now open for The Towamencin Police Benevolent Association "Five-0 5K" Run and Walk, set for June 15 at 9 a.m. The first annual event is somewhat of a revival of a former run that had dropped off, according to Towamencin Police Specialist Kelly Palermo. "We are bringing it back again," she said. There are 15 runners registered as of Wednesday. Palermo is hoping for 200 runners. The 5K will begin at the Towamencin Township Police headquarters at Troxel and Snyder roads. Quakertown Man Charged with Allegedly Concealing Loaded Firearm

Kevin Covaleski, 47, and Kyle Sterling, 58, were reportedly having sex inside a car behind Holiday Inn in Towamencin. Police said a loaded .22-caliber handgun was found in the console of the vehicle

Two men allegedly found by police engaged in sexual activity in a car in the rear parking lot of Holiday Inn in Towamencin resulted in one of them being arrested and charged for carrying a concealed weapon without a license. Kevin Covaleski, 47, of the unit block of S. 11th Street, Quakertown, was taken into custody by Towamencin Police around 11:30 a.m. Jan. 24 and charged with firearms not to be carried without a license and disorderly conduct, police said. Covaleski was arraigned by District Judge Harold Borek and released on $5,000 unsecured bail, police said. Police investigated a suspicious occupied vehicle in the rear parking lot of the hotel at 1750 Sumneytown Pike, and found the occupants engaged in sexual activity, police said. …

A Philadelphia man pulled over by Towamencin Township Police for a busted headlight was found to have a loaded, concealed .22-caliber revolver in his jacket pocket and was not licensed to carry a concealed firearm. Gerald Samuel Gethers III, 22, of the 700 block of Rhawn Street, was also charged with DUI and driving with a suspended license, police said. Gethers’ vehicle was stopped on Jan. 20 at 1 a.m. on the 1600 block of Valley Forge Road after officers spotted the vehicle on Sumneytown Pike with an inoperative passenger side headlight, police said. Gethers was found to be allegedly in possession of a loaded .22-caliber revolver in his jacket pocket, police said. Gethers does not have a license to carry a concealed weapon, police said. …

Claudio Antonio Anlas, 50, of the 1100 block of Bloomfield Circle, is charged with felony burglary of an overnight accommodation, felony criminal trespassing and misdemeanor theft by unlawful taking, according to court records. Towamencin Township Police are investigating reports of two attempted residential burglaries that occurred between January 12 and January 19 in the Inglewood section of the township

Two attempted burglaries occurred at two homes in the Inglewood section of Towamencin Township between January 12 and January 19, police said. Entry was attempted to a home on the 800 block of Sunnylea Road by cutting and removing a rear window screen, police said. Between 5:20 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. Jan. 18, entry was attempted on a home on the 800 block of Woodlawn Drive by prying on the rear door and door frame, police said. Two Juveniles Charged in Forge Gate Apartments Fight

Towamencin Township Police responded to the apartment complex on Snyder Road on Friday, Dec. 14 for a reported fight involving about 50 individuals

Two juveniles were charged by Towamencin Township Police Dec. 14 for their alleged involvement in a brawl involving about 50 individuals at Forge Gate Apartments on Snyder Road. The investigation revealed that two teens had been involved in a pre-planned fight and the others on the scene were spectators and supporters of the fight, police said. Police identified a 17-year-old North Wales boy as one of the males involved in the fight. The juvenile was taken into custody and cited for disorderly conduct, police said. He was released to a parent. The youth was injured, but declined medical treatment, police said. The second suspect, pegged as a conspirator, in an alleged Towamencin Township vehicle insurance fraud scheme was arrested Saturday by Montgomery Township Police at his place of employment. Sterling Dustin Hall Jr., 33, of the 1000 block of Winfield Court in Morgandale, was arrested Dec. 8 at his job on the 200 block of DeKalb Pike in Montgomery Township on a warrant issued by Towamencin Police, police said. Hall Jr. is charged with felony criminal conspiracy to file a fraudulent or false insurance claim and misdemeanor tampering with evidence, according to court records.
