The Lansdale Cannoneers Jr. Pee-Wee Cheerleading Team know how to get a crowd riled up--and they want to prove it at the Pop Warner National Championships at Walt Disney World in Florida.
The team is seeking donations through GoFundMe to help defer costs associated with travel, lodging and food expenses, according to its fundraising page.
The goal is $20,000. Since the start of the campaign on Nov. 12, the team has raised $795.
The Cannoneers Jr. team placed first in the local and regional competitions. When it heads to the championships, the team will be one of two Junior Pee-Wee squads representing the Eastern Region.
"The 145-pound team may be one of the best ever assembled," said parent Mark Bryson.
Lansdale Cannoneers Youth Football and Cheerleading is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
