Cops: Towamencin Man Shows Genitals Second Time, Sent to Prison on $25K Bail

Thomas Clifford, 60, of Main Street Apartments, was released on unsecured bail last week for allegedly showing his genitals to children. On July 1, he was arrested for allegedly doing it again.

A Towamencin man who was released on unsecured bail June 26 for allegedly showing his genitals to juveniles as he stood in his doorway at Main Street Apartments has now been jailed pending $25,000 cash bail for allegedly doing the same thing again.

Towamencin Township Police said Thomas Paul Clifford, 60, was charged July 1 with indecent exposure, open lewdness and harassment, following the issuance of a warrant.

Clifford was arraigned before District Judge Francis Lawrence of Norristown and sent to Montgomery County prison in lieu of $25,000 cash bail.

He was charged on June 26 for a similar incident, but was released on unsecured bail.

Police said officers responded June 30 at 11 a.m. to Main Street Apartments to investigate a reported indecent exposure incident.

A female resident said she was walking by the G Building and Clifford was allegedly exposing himself out the sliding glass door, police said.

She told police Clifford was completely naked and allegedly shook his genitals while she walked by, police said.

The woman told her husband, and when they walked by the apartment building together, Clifford reportedly exposed himself and shook his genitals again, police said.
