Former LC Kitchen Worker Files Slip-and-Fall Suit Against Archdiocese

Laura Miller claims she broke her left arm and severely damaged her right knee when she was forced to walk over an old dishwasher drain that was in a depression on the kitchen floor at Lansdale Catholic.

A Lansdale woman who claimed she broke her arm and injured her knee two years ago while working for Aramark in the kitchen at Lansdale Catholic has filed a slip-and-fall suit against the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
Laura Miller filed the suit Sept. 23 for the Oct. 31, 2011 incident, according to The Pennsylvania Record. She filed it jointly with her husband, David Miller, seeking more than $50,000 in damages.
Miller claims she was forced to walk over a drain in the kitchen floor at Lansdale Catholic that was depressed in the floor, per the report. The depression, according to the lawsuit, was from a dishwasher that was removed, leaving the drain intact.
The lawsuit claims Miller suffered "internal derangement" of her right knee and a fracture to her left arm, per The Pennsylvania Record.
