Souderton Comes Out to Mourn its Loss

A community comes together to celebrate the life of 9-year-old Skyler Kauffman.

One special girl was remembered tonight by her community. Hundreds of residents packed the intersection of Second Street and Chestnut Street in Souderton, in an effort to show condolences and support to the family of 9-year-old murder victim Skyler Rae Kauffman.

Family members, including her mother, father and grandparents, were in attendance, as well as local soldiers, Bikers Against Child Abuse, and many other organizations.

A volunteer walked through the crowd with a large jug to collect donations to help the family cover funeral costs.

Several of Kauffman's family members, including her cousin Christine and her aunt Debbie, wore T-shirts with Kauffman's picture on them. They intend to sell the shirts to help raise money for memorial expenses.
