Autumn Woods Fitness Trail is a Hit Any Season

This neighborhood trail is just off busy Route 309.

Autumn Woods Fitness Trail is located off Richardson Road and consists of a meandering wooded trail that is used by joggers, dog walkers, neighborhood children, and those seeking a cool, shady place to just walk and get some exercise.

The paved trail encircles the Autumn Woods townhouse development and offers those residing there the perfect place for recreation and exercise without having to use the car or travel miles away.

Exercise stations are set up along the trail, as well as benches for those who want to sit and linger rather than exercise.

Part way down the trail, bright, modern playground equipment is at home in an area that has been cleared of trees. Sitting adjacent to the play area is a half-court basketball area that sees plenty of use by local residents.

For those not within walking distance who wish to use the trail, a small parking lot is located near a sign that identifies the trailhead. Autumn Woods is easy to miss. So, be sure to look for the brown trailhead sign.

The parking lot is a short distance from the intersection of Route 309 and Richardson Road, which makes it convenient to major access roads.

FYI
Lansdale Parks and Recreation is sponsoring a Movie Night tonight at 9 p.m. at the White’s Road Park Amphitheater. Get out your poodle skirts and saddle shoes, as the movie Grease will be showing under the stars. Moviegoers are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and a snack; in case of rain, the movie will be shown on July 2.
