Encore Experiences Showcases Armed Forces Uniforms

In honor of Armed Forces and Memorial Day, Encore Experiences of Hatfield, located at 312 Alumni Ave. in Harleysville, will hold an educational program on June 19, starting at 12:30 p.m.

Michael Jesberger will provide a presentation on various military uniforms and equipment worn by the nation’s early American fighting forces and foes. According to the Encore Experiences website, the uniforms are complete with reproduction clothing, headgear and equipment. The program will inform attendees and show them how the military uniform evolved from the Pre-Revolutionary War Militias to the Federal Union Soldier of the American Civil War.
