Perkasie "Under the Stars" Car Show

More than 400 antique, custom and classic cars will be on display from 5 p.m until 9:30 p.m. on the streets of downtown Perkasie Saturday, August 17. The occasion is the 15th annual  “Under the Stars” Car Show” presented by the Perkasie Olde Towne Association and the Good-Time Motorvators Car Club.

“We’re looking forward to another great show,” said Cathy Weierbach, POTA President and chair of the event. “The variety of cars in the show gets bigger each year. Owners call us early to make sure they can get a spot.”

Registration fee is $10 ($15 after August 1). Car owners may register their vehicles the day of the show between 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.. Trophies are awarded in several categories, including Best in Show.

Major sponsors of this year’s “Under the Stars Car Show” include A&T Chevrolet, QNB, Gahman’s Business Supply, and First Savings Bank.

In addition to a great selection of vehicles to admire for free, the show features music by “Hodge Podge” and plenty of food. Several downtown shops will be open offering car show specials.

“This is great family night out,” said Weierbach. “And it’s an opportunity for people who may not be familiar with Perkasie to see what the borough has to offer.”
