Chamber Holds Annual Community Reading Day

The community event, now in its 16th year, aims to promote literacy in schools within the PennSuburban Chamber of Commerce area.

The PennSuburban Chamber of Commerce (PSCC) held its Annual Community Reading Day on Tuesday, May 6.

The community event, now in its 16th year, aims to promote literacy in schools within the PSCC area. Almost 100 members and friends of the Chamber read to second grade classrooms in public, private and parochial schools in the North Penn, Souderton and Wissahickon school districts.

In addition to the reading experience , all students received bookmarks and tickets to the Chamber Night at the Reading Phillies on Friday, May 16.

Proceeds from Community Reading Day go toward the PennSuburban Chamber Foundation, which awards scholarships to graduating seniors who plan to major in a business-related field.

The PennSuburban Chamber of Commerce has been serving Montgomery County businesses since 1913. With over 700 members, it is the largest chamber and business organization in Montgomery County. For more information, visit pennsuburban.org.
