Southern Hospitality

After crashing at a friends apartment in Virginia and making the long ride to North Carolina, we got to the venue in Winston Salem. There we met up with awesome people the boys know, and got a motel room. With a pool. And a whore house in the parking. After a few days without a shower and sleeping on floors, this was like staying at the Ritz. If you're ever in the area, call Motel 6 and ask for Lefty, the gentleman crackhead pimp who is just looking for an alcoholic beverage. Tell um the Dugout fellas sent you.

It was a great night and awesome show. The Garage is one of the coolest clubs I've been to in a long time. The owner Tucker was an awesome Southern bro. Definitely check out the clubs Instagram and Facebook. The main down fall of the night was to much booze. And Mike fucking up his ankle. Kinda think they went together but I really couldn't be sure. I was drunk.

The next morning we had to rise early to make our way to a house party in Nashville, Tennessee. The ride felt like the longest one yet, even though it was only around 6 hours. The lack of sleep, fun nights and 5 shows in 4 states in 5 days, was starting to take its toll. And the heat didn't help. The house we played at was a shit hole in the middle of nowhere. Punk rock as fuck. But still a shit hole. Also got to witness one of the first one man, three pieces I've ever seen called the Gaffer Project. You gotta check it out to understand. Tonight was all business though. Get in, play, pack and go. We were more concerned with the 12 hour drive we had ahead of us.

Instead of a straight drive to Oklahoma City, we decided to stop at around 3 am and sleep in Arkansas. It was everything I thought it be. Boring as fuck. Trucks and fields. We are now back in the van, on our way to an acoustic house show in Oklahoma. The fact that we don't have to load gear to tonight rules. 

Tomorrow is a travel day and a trip to the Grand Canyon. Then it's the weekend we've been longing for. Vegas, Los Angeles and Reno, here we come.
