Three Days Until the Road

Anticipation for a trip, that a lot of musicians tirelessly work toward, is growing. Today and tomorrow the band rehearses, for the final two times, before the first show Friday night at Lansdale Music Factory. Billy, the bands true bassist, will be playing the first show of the tour, before we head to Pittsburgh Saturday morning for gig two. Really is a bummer he can't go on tour but its still their band. I'm just someone helping out some decent dudes, for a few weeks.

Learning ten or so songs in a short amount of time isn't that tough, but being able to play them well with the band, is a different story. Practice has been really laid back with the dudes, so learning the set has been easy. Some bands you play in, practice is a nightmare. But every time has been productive, and entertaining. They're funny guys. Solid musicians. Younger than me by a few years but we still have common ground in playing music and punk rock. Their willingness to "grind" and their drive, to book a tour like this themselves, is impressive and infectious.

The tour dates are as follows...

8/2 - Lansdale
8/3 - Pittsburgh
8/4 - DC
8/5 - Greensboro NC
8/6 - Nashville TN
8/7 - Oklahoma City
8/9 - Vegas
8/10 - San Jose CA
8/11 - Reno NV
8/12 - Salt Lake City UT
8/13 - Denver CO
8/14 - Des Moines IA
8/16 - Sullivan IL
8/17 - Altoona PA

But for the next few days we anticipate and practice. Get final preparations ready. And wait for the upcoming time on the road and unknown that awaits.
