Firefighter Injured in E.3rd St Fire, According to Reports

A firefighter who burned his ear was treated at the scene of the Tuesday night fire.

A firefighter was injured after responding to the scene of a fire Tuesday night on E. 3rd St in Lansdale, according to media reports.

An elderly woman escaped the blaze, which broke out in her home around 6 p.m., according to The Reporter. She was not injured. 

Officials told The Reporter they are still investigating the cause of the fire, which burned the ear of one firefighter. The injured firefighter was treated at the scene and later received evaluation at Abington Health Lansdale Hospital, media reports said.

The fire closed Broad Street between Main and Fourth streets Tuesday nights as crews from Fairmount, North Penn, Colmar, Upper Gwynedd and Towamencin fire companies worked at the scene.
