Norristown Man Charged With Sexual Assault of Children in Lansdale

Sean Rahatt, 41, is facing more than 100 felony and misdemeanor charges for what police say was the repeated sexual assault of young children in Lansdale, Norristown and Collegeville.

A Norristown man is being held in county prison on $99,000 bail after being arrested and charged with the repeated sexual assault of multiple young victims in Lansdale, Norristown and Collegeville.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, 41-year-old Sean Rahatt allegedly sexually assaulted the juveniles, who were under the age of 13, on multiple occasions over a 12-year period. The incidents are said to have occurred in Norristown, Collegeville and Lansdale over that time period.

According to the affidavit, Rahatt allegedly told a witness that he had been abused prior and was "reenacting his past." He also reportedly attempted to justify his actions by putting them in historical context, saying similar activity occurred in Roman times and that such activity was still accepted in some parts of the world.
