Two people were arrested for theft and trespassing after they were caught stealing scrap metal from the train tracks near West Fifth Street and Cannon Avenue, Lansdale Borough Police said.
On Saturday afternoon, an officer on patrol observed a "suspicious" man and woman in
the area of the train tracks. As he approached them, the female quickly got into her car and turned on the ignition, police said. The man fled the scene, according to information from police.
