Police: Towamencin Man Chokes Woman Twice, Arraigned on Assault Charges

Michael Frisbie, 60, of Forty Foot Road in Towamencin, allegedly choked a woman in his home twice during an argument June 29. He was sent to Montgomery County prison in lieu of $250 bail following arraignment.

Towamencin Township Police said Michael Frisbie, 60, of the 900 block of Forty Foot Road, was taken into custody Monday on two charges of misdemeanor simple assault, two charges of misdemeanor harassment and a charge of terroristic threats for allegedly choking a woman during an argument.

Frisbie was arraigned by District Judge Ester Casillo and sent to Montgomery County prison in lieu of 10 percent of $2,500 bail, police said.

On June 29, at 7:05 p.m., police responded to a reported domestic violence call at Frisbie’s home.

Police said a woman told police that Frisbie assaulted her during an arugment. Frisbie allegedly choked her twice and threatened her, police said. During the second assault, the alleged victim told police she fought back to get Frisbie to release his chokehold on her neck, police said.
